WOWdogs Dog Training Cancellation Policy

I understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule your dog training session. However, as a small business, last-minute cancellations or no-shows impact my schedule and ability to provide my services to other clients., I have therefore implemented the following cancellation policy:

Cancellation Notice Requirement
1. I kindly ask that you provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your dog training session. This may allow me to offer the slot to another client who may be waiting.
Late Cancellations (Less Than 48 Hours' Notice)
1. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled session will not be eligible for a refund. This policy is necessary to compensate for the time reserved for your session that cannot be reallocated on short notice.
Packages
1. If you have prepaid a block of sessions, this means that session will likely be lost but I would be happy to provide some virtual support until the next scheduled session or do an online session. Please note packages of 4 must be used within 6 months of the initial session (or 8 months if 6 sessions)
Discretionary Exceptions
1. While my cancellation policy is designed to protect my time, I do understand that unique situations may arise. Therefore, I do reserve the right to waive the non-refundable policy at my discretion. This means that in certain circumstances, or I am able to re-fill your spot, I may choose to allow a rescheduling despite the cancellation occurring within 48 hours.
How to Cancel or Reschedule
1. To cancel or reschedule your session, please contact me directly via phone at 07941 806352 email at susanjanereed@yahoo.co.uk. If you reach my voicemail, please leave a message with your name, your dog’s name, and your appointment details.
Policy Acknowledgment
1. By booking an appointment with WOWdogs, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by this cancellation policy.

General Terms & Conditions

Your dog(s) must be fit and healthy. Training your dog when they are unwell, injured or in pain is unfair to the dog.
WOWdogs accepts no responsibility for loss of or injury to your dog whilst training with us. This includes injury by another dog.
All dogs must be kept on a lead unless otherwise instructed by me.
All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
I believe in using positive reinforcement as the most effective way to train dogs. We do not allow dogs to be handled forcefully during our training. The use of punishment as a training method has been proven to create negative side effects in dogs.
WOWdogs accept no responsibility for any damage to, theft of, or from your vehicle. Please do not leave valuables in your car and any dogs left unattended in a vehicle is done at the owner’s risk.
By choosing to undertake training, you agree to take full responsibility for your own safety, the safety of all parties accompanying you and the safety of your dog.
I must be alerted to any behavioural problems e.g. bite history prior to accepting a booking.
Please check with us if your bitch is in season.
All behavioural training or advice is offered based on information provided, observed in your session, I cannot guarantee that such advice will resolve issues for you or your dog. It will depend on owner input and if I feel I cannot help, I would refer or recommend a behaviourist.
I reserve the right from time to time to change or amend these Terms & Conditions without notification.

Group Classes

£25 non refundable deposit, payable on booking, full payment 2 weeks before.
I have a limit on the number of dogs that can attend classes, no credit or refunds will be offered for group classes you do not attend but you will receive all the relevant notes, communications etc. If you cancel the whole block, I would endeavour to reallocate a place if possible (no guarantees) and you would be refunded if filled.
To make the most of the classes, regular short daily training sessions at home are the best way for you and your dog to practice the lessons and games prior to the next class.

Puppy Classes or Sessions

Only puppies over the age of 12 weeks will be accepted to a group class but WOWdogs can offer 1:1 training to younger dogs.
All puppies must remain on a lead and be kept away from contact with other puppies in the group unless specifically instructed by your trainer.
The course covers important aspects of puppy training, so for optimum results it is important you attend all classes.
To make the most of the classes, regular short daily training sessions at home are the best way for you and your puppy to practice the lessons and games prior to the next class.
Your puppy is required to wear a flat collar and have a well fitted harness.
Extendable leads (flexi-leads) and head collars are not permitted for puppy class unless agreed with your trainer..
By confirming a booking, you are accepting the terms and conditions.

General Data Protection (UKGDPR)

I will ask you for minimal personal information and information on you and your dog. This information will be used to record details of your training requirements.
I will ask your permission to use still or video images of you and your dog, in advance of any being taken while at the training session.
I may use your contact details to contact you about your appointment/booking.
All data is securely stored in hard copy and/or electronically with restricted access.
